Hitachi High-Tech works with semiconductor manu-facturersand research institutes with a global presence so that we can offer the best solutions at a world-class level.
Our main products are CD-SEMs that dominate the global market, plasma etching systems that make it possible to manufacture new structured devices via high-precision nanoprocessing, and surface mount systems (chip mounters) that produce high throughput and quality. In April 2010 we merged with the semiconductor back-end processing manufacturing equipment business of Renesas Eastern Japan Semiconductor, Inc. This enabled us to establish a system whereby our line-up of proprietary products can respond comprehensively to a wide range of needs, from semiconductor manufacturing to measurement and inspection systems, and back-end process and chip mounting systems.
The semiconductor market sees continual innovation and fierce competition, and manufacturers of related systems must have the capacity to offer solutions that include applications. We are boosting joint development (JDP) with leading-edge customers by developing systems based on advanced process needs and solutions to enhance yield rate.
