Hitachi-High Technologies was created in 2001 from the merger of the Hitachi Ltd. Instruments Group and Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipments Group with Nissei Sangyo Co., Ltd., a company specializing in electronics. We later acquired our surface mount system, LCD and hard disk manufacturing equipment and semiconductor back-end process manufacturing equipment businesses. The organic merging of our trading and manufacturing functions has brought us to where we are today.
Currently we are globally expanding our five business segments: Electronic Device Systems, Science & Medical systems, Fine Technology Systems, Industrial & IT Systems, and Advanced Industrial Products.

Cutting-edge manufacturing of electronic devices requires further size-reduction technology, and we can respond to this need with our line-up of proprietary products, ranging from process manufacturing equipment to measurement and inspection systems, and back-end process and surface mount systems.

Our integrated solutions for the manufacture of computer and flat-screen TV LCDs and hard disks include a product line-up that covers the entire manufacturing process as well as after-sales service.

Our cutting-edge electronics offer a wide range of solutions for industrial and IT systems.We are also involved in the environment and energy sector, which is expected to see strong growth, in such areas as lithium-ion battery inspection and assembly systems, solar cell manufacturing equipment and fuel cell-related business.

We deal in industrial materials, electronic device materials, optical devices and materials, and are also focusing on the environmental and new energy business, an area which is expected to see further growth.
