The corporate vision of Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation is to "consistently aim to be the Global Top in high-tech solutions." We actively utilize our global network to provide our customers on "the front lines" of business with "cutting-edge" products and solutions in five business segments: Electronic Device Systems, Science & Medical Systems, Fine Technology Systems, Industrial & IT Systems and Advanced Industrial Products.

We have expanded globally as a unique cutting-edge technology company that possesses both manufacturing and trading functions. In order to realize Hitachi High-Tech's corporate vision it is essential to fully integrate these dual strengths, further combine them with the overall strength of the Hitachi Group and, with this combination as our core competence, to "lead the way for our customers' future as a fast moving creator." I believe that this is the key to sustainable development and growth for the company.

It is therefore vital to make even greater use of our technological development, manufacturing and service, and global marketing capabilities to further enhance our operations, as well as to develop new businesses that will become mainstays in the years ahead.

In particular, the creation of a new "one-stop solution" business model that other companies are unable to imitate, such as "upstream to downstream total solutions that include our proprietary products" and "systemization of our proprietary products, incorporating trading products," will help us to realize our goal of becoming a global leader. It is this "ability to create new business" that is our strength.

Our business field is advanced technology, a field that is experiencing dramatic market transitions. In this field I believe it is essential to anticipate market changes and always keep up with what the customer will need tomorrow in new growth areas.

In order to do so, we will further enhance our development focus and have the courage to make changes by ourselves and create new markets, acting flexibly and swiftly as we maximize value for customers.

October 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of Hitachi High-Tech. Building upon our achievements of the past 10 years, we now take on a new challenge aimed at growth in the "Next Decade."
