This picture was recorded with an SEM using a printed circuit board irradiated by a laser beam. The laser beam is so powerful that it changes structures of many materials. What you can see here may remind you of a peacock with its wings fully opened for welcoming the coming of the 21st century.
At 55th photo contest hosted by the Japanese Society of Electron Microscopy in 1999.
