A volcanic eruption? A forced landing of UFO?
What's happening over the mountain?! This image shows diffraction pattern observed in the 0.5micro meter thick single crystal Si thin foil specimen. The area looks like a mountain is actually vacuum and no specimen there.
The vivid flash of lights are the KIKUCHI LINE which can be observed only in the thick single specimen.
At 57th photo contest hosted by the Japanese Society of Electron Microscopy in 2001.
