A micro-planetary explorer starts the mission

A micro-planetary explorer has landed on the unknown planet.
The sample in the picture is a silica particle with micro cubic pores distributed on surface and inside.
These cubic pores were formed when the NaCl were dissolved from mixture of silica and NaCl.
This sample is expected to be a carrier capsule with the capability to selcectively capture materails that match the size and shape of the cubic pores. Before coming back to Earth, the micro-planetary explorer picks up the unknown material.
At 67th photo contest hosted by the Japanese Society of Microscopy in 2011.
