Hitachi High Technologies America Recognized for Excellence by Texas Instruments

 

DALLAS, TEXAS, May 15, 2012 - Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc. (HTA) has been presented with the Texas Instruments (TI) 2011 Supplier Excellence Award (SEA) to the HTA’s Semiconductor Equipment Division (SED) for providing leading edge plasma etch equipment and support for TI’s manufacturing needs. An award presentation ceremony was held at TI’s Dallas site on April 25th, 2012 to recognize HTA for its achievement.

TI’s SEA is given annually to distinguish supplier companies whose dedication and commitment meet TI’s highest standards of excellence. For this year TI awarded this honor to only 15 out of over 12,000 suppliers for their exemplary performance in areas of cost reduction, environmental responsibility, technology, responsiveness, assurance of supply and quality.

In honoring HTA with this award, TI recognized HTA and its parent company, Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation (HHT), for their outstanding performance. TI cited several examples of industry-leading support exhibited by the HHT companies. Noted examples included continuation of supply of equipment and parts despite the devastating effects of the March 2011 Tsunami in Japan, acceleration of tool start up, providing appropriate solutions for unforeseen issues, customized software for improved tool cost of ownership, and extensive process development and support for TI’s latest products.
